Bushfire Memorial Services
John Allison/Monkhouse was proud to provide two Memorial Services for those affected by the tragic bushfires on Saturday February 7th, 2009
The first service was held at St Jude's Catholic Church in Scoresby on February 16th.
This was well received and all who attended appreciated the opportunity to gather with others and share their feelings of loss and sorrow.
The second service was held at Bunurong Memorial Park in Dandenong South on February 26th.
There was a large turnout at this service of both the CFA and SES volunteers, local Police Chiefs, and the Local and State Members of Parliament, and the Frankston Mayor were also represented.
Those dignitaries who were unable to attend sent messages of condolence to be read at the service.
At the conclusion of both services, doves were released - a moment that all attending found to be very moving.
John Allison/Monkhouse is honoured to be trusted by the people of Melbourne to make available to them the opportunity to share and be comforted in times of sorrow.
