Vietnamese, Cambodian & Laotian Funerals

Mr. Lap Thanh Mai, manager of the Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laotian divisions, has been working with Allison Monkhouse since 1990. He truly understands both the cultural and religious needs of the Vietnamese community and those of the Cambodian and Laotian communities.

He also specialises in the repatriation of loved one from Australia to Vietnam and Cambodia, with more than ten years experience in this area.

Chinese Funerals

Our specialist in Chinese funerals speaks several Chinese dialects fluently including Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.
Allison Monkhouse has a number of chapels across Melbourne which can be used for viewings or funerals as required. We offer a large range of coffins and caskets designed to suit the budgets and needs of Chinese families.

Sri Lankan & Indian Funerals

In keeping with Sri Lankan and Indian traditions, Harvey Schuiling, who overseas this division, can arrange for Buddhist and Hindu priests from their respective temples to perform the family's religious and traditional rituals in one of our chapels, in the family's home, or in a crematorium chapel. Allison Monkhouse also arranges for cremated ashes to be collected by families to be interred at a cemetery or scattered by the family on an auspicious day and time.

French Funerals

Allison Monkhouse French Funerals is a service we offer families from French speaking countries who prefer to speak with a funeral consultant in French rather than English. Allison Monkhouse has had extensive experience with the general French community, as well as French Polynesians and many African families who predominantly speak French.
